Pop in for health advice

Roehampton residents can get health advice at a pop-up shop opening today (Thursday).

The shop will be open seven days a week for two weeks and is being run by Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) working with Wandsworth Council, which offered the vacant shop for use. Drop in for a chance to talk to nurses and health professionals about how you can stay healthy and what services are available locally.
Mini healthchecks will be available together with health advice on diabetes and smoking. Wandsworth’s diabetes champions will be on hand to offer their support.
The council’s health spokesman Cllr Paul Ellis said: “We’re please to be working with the CCG to bring this pop-up shop to Roehampton. It’s a quick, easy, no-fuss way to check your health and find out how to improve it.”
The shop is at 41 Danebury Avenue
Tanya Stacey, CCG Locality Manager for West Wandsworth said: “Please do call in to find out more about how you can stay healthy and what NHS services can do to help you and your family. If people are looking for information about absolutely anything we can point them in the right direction”
The shop will be open at the following times:
• Mondays: 10am – 4.30pm
• Tuesdays: 10am – 4.30pm
• Wednesdays: noon – 7.30
• Thursdays: 10am – 4.30pm
• Fridays: 10am– 4.30pm
• Saturdays: 10am – 4.30
• Sundays: 10am – 3.30pm
