Still time to tell us your plans for a royal wedding street party

Residents are being reminded that they still have time to submit applications for a street party celebrating the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

With Royal fever sweeping the country following the birth of a new Prince and with the wedding just weeks away, there‚Äôs never been a better time to get together with friends and neighbours to organise a celebratory street party.

There is no charge and all the information needed to apply for street party including road closures and all the other legal requirements can be submitted online via a simple application form.

The happy couple are tying the knot on Saturday, May 19.  People are being advised though that they need to complete the online questionnaire by a closing date of Monday, April 30.

Residents must bear in mind that there are some streets that cannot be closed for a party. These would include main roads whose closure would create too much congestion in the area, Transport for London controlled red routes, or those which are part of a bus route.
