Don’t miss out on your chance to vote in May’s local elections

Published: Wednesday 7th February 18

With local council elections just around the corner, the town hall is doing its bit to make sure everyone in the borough who’s entitled to vote is able to do so.

To ensure that no-one misses out on their right to vote, the council has written to every residential address to confirm the names of all those living there who’s registered to vote.

In the build-up to the local elections on Thursday, May 3, it’s important to make sure that the information on the electoral register is accurate.

When people receive their Confirmation of Voter Registration letter, they are being urged to check the contents carefully and make sure that that the names of all residents who are eligible to vote (and aged 16 or over) are listed.

Anyone who’s eligible whose name does not appear on the letter should visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to submit an application to join the electoral register.

If any changes need to be made to existing details, please visit www.householdresponse.com/wandsworth and use Part 1 and Part 2 of the security code printed on the letter.

If the information on the letter is correct, no further action will need to be taken. You do not need to respond if there are no changes to make.

Visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/vote for further information about registering to vote and elections.
