Call for tech firms to join digital hub

Published: Friday 20th October 17

More than 135 people went along to the recent Digitech Next In Tech conference, as the network of digital and tech companies across the borough continues to grow.

The popular Next in Tech conference

Wandsworth Digitech was set up earlier this year as part of the council’s Your Business Your Growth package of business support. The aim was to create a self-sustaining network of companies that provides an ongoing source of support, expert advice and networking opportunities including monthly meet-ups to the borough’s burgeoning tech sector.

Next in Tech, held in the town hall’s Civic Suite, was the culmination of Wandsworth Digitech’s first few months, and was aimed at start-ups and small businesses.

Now more local firms are being urged to join the Digitech network to help build a self-sustaining south west London digital hub.  Digitech co-founder Soraya Lavery said:

“The point is to help businesses understand, use and build on the technology they already have in place. It is also an opportunity for local technology businesses to showcase their products and build partnerships and friendships with the businesses that they serve.

“Wandsworth DigiTech is now a thriving community of like-minded entrepreneurs who inspire, motivate, encourage each other along their journey.”
