In pictures: Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2017

As the curtain comes down on the 2017 Wandsworth Arts Fringe, here are just some of the highlights from all the incredible arts and cultural performances that took place.

With 140 mesmerising events across 65 venues, Wandsworth Arts Fringe showcased world class performances from the gravity defying acrobats, Hoops and Loops at Tooting Tram and Social, to rampaging rhinos at Hidden Heathbrook, residents were treated to a plethora of arts and cultural activity.

Pump House Pavilion, a bespoke structure erected outside Pump House Gallery, hosted a packed schedule of events for all ages, including Everything Stops for Tea – an immersive theatrical experience celebrating the British love of tea. The Fragility takeover at The Cats Back drew in audiences from all across London and the giant pineapple car made its way through the streets of South London.

Bicycle Ballet danced and cycled their way around Balham and York Gardens turned into a mini carnival with Flagz Carnival Day descending to the area with amazing costumes, a pumping sound system and delicious food.

Packed to the brim, a barge on the Thames hosted the hilarious Femmes by the Thames event which took audiences on a riotous comedy night, compered by Radio Four’s Rosie Wilby.
