Free professional recruitment service for local businesses

Published: Tuesday 29th November 16

The council’s free local recruitment service is helping more Wandsworth employers find and retain talented local staff.

The Work Match service is free to use, offers a bespoke, business led service, and develops a detailed knowledge of businesses before advertising their vacancies.

Unlike most recruitment teams they are not driven by commission targets and only put forward candidates who are genuinely ready, willing and able to meet workplace demands.

They have access to a wide selection of pre-vetted, job-ready local candidates.

Equinox Business Consulting is one of the dozens of local firms to take advantage of Wandsworth Work Match to find staff. Dave Millett, Director of Equinox Business Consulting, said:

“We recently used the Work Match service to fill a sales analyst vacancy. The whole process was very good. They took the time to visit our office not only to understand the role but also the culture of the company.

“They then screened all the candidates prior recommending those for us to interview. All that came for interview would have been suitable for the role, creating the nice problem of having a choice.

"I would recommend any business in Wandsworth to use the service, and it’s free.”

Wandsworth Council business spokesperson Cllr Kim Caddy said: “Work Match is designed to pair local businesses up with local people, so everyone can benefit.

“Their focus is on helping residents find sustainable employment. There are no short term targets. So if you’re looking for local talent to help your business grow then why not get in touch with them today.”
