Work Match, now in its 3rd year, is well established and has a strong track record of helping people find the jobs they’re looking for.

The team has already helped several people secure work with Cineworld, including Heather who began a new role there over three months ago.

Describing her experience with the service, Heather said: “The process at Work Match was very thorough. Everybody from the reception team, through to the Business Engagement Officers and Career Coach were extremely welcoming and keen to ensure that I progressed as best as possible. At first, we worked on identifying any additional training that I required, which was then followed up with actively looking for job opportunities. This process was very useful; I soon found information on a range of different jobs locally.

Heather is enjoying her work at Cineworld, and the variation it provides. “It can be anything from working on the cinema floor & preparing screens for customers.” Heather also works on the concessions departments serving customers at first hand.

“I really enjoy this variation as it helps develop new skills as well as using my existing skillset. Everyone has to work very closely together within the cinema, which is the most enjoyable part of my position.”

Heather’s story is one of many who have found their perfect match through the service.

Leader of Wandsworth Council Ravi Govindia said:

“I am pleased to see that Work Match is having a positive impact for so many people. This new partnership with Cineworld will undoubtedly offer wonderful opportunities to local people. If you’re a candidate looking for work, take advantage of the support and training that Work Match offers.

It’s free of charge to candidates and employers, so if you run a business in Wandsworth, Work Match is a talent pool you don’t want to miss out on. They never put forward unsuitable candidates, so you’re sure to find the staff you need.”
