Food, catering and hospitality start-ups and small businesses can learn about branding, labelling, packaging, visual merchandising and store layouts – all completely for free.

The courses are offered as part of the council’s Wandsworth Foodies programme of business support.

Wandsworth has 2,744 registered food businesses, plus 214 registered home caterers. There are also 52 registered street traders living in the borough.

Wandsworth Foodies is being delivered on behalf of the council by CPG Executive Consulting and aims to grow the borough’s food sector and make it more professional and sustainable.

The council’s business spokesman Cllr Kim Caddy said:

“Christmas is coming up, and we want to make sure our borough businesses grab a big slice of that lucrative market. We know Wandsworth firms are creating some great products - these courses will help you market them as effectively as possible and get more sales”
