Tooting ward by-election result

The Labour Party has retained its seat in Tooting following yesterday’s (Thursday’s) by-election.

Paul White received 1,467 votes and has now been elected to serve as a member of Wandsworth Council.  The by-election was held following the resignation of Tooting councillor Ben Johnson.

The full list of results are:

  • Eileen Riley Arms - Liberal Democrats Party: 267 votes
  • Alexander Ali Balkan - Social Democratic Party: 15 votes
  • Thom Norman - Conservative Party: 644 votes
  • Albert Roy Vickery - Green Party: 116 votes
  • Paul White – Labour Party: 1,467 votes

The turnout in yesterday's ballot was 20.6 per cent.
