How to cast your vote in the EU Referendum

Published: Wednesday 25th May 16

The referendum on whether the UK should remain a member of the European Union is now just over a month away.

Residents should by now have received their polling cards. If not, contact Wandsworth Council’s electoral registration team.

Please note that only British, Irish and Commonwealth citizens are able to vote - not EU citizens.  British citizens who live overseas, but were registered in Wandsworth in the last 15 years, are also eligible to vote.

The deadline for registering to vote is midnight on June 7. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

If you want to request a postal vote you must send in a completed application form by 5pm on June 8. You can download an application form from http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/.

The deadline for applying for a proxy vote is 5pm on June 15. Download a form at http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/.

If you are not sure where to cast your vote, a polling station location finder will be available on our website from June 1 at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/vote.
