More jobs for local people as Southside expands

Wandsworth residents can now register their interest in jobs at the new Debenhams department store which will open its doors later this year at Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth Town.

Earlier this month Work Match helped four local people secure jobs at Southside’s new Decathlon store. Abbas, Andrew, Sasha, and Jordan, who all live in Wandsworth, have now started work at popular sports outlet.

The recruitment team has also found staff for Southside’s Pandora and is working with several other retailers in the popular shopping centre to help them secure the job-ready local candidates they need.

Sasha is one of the new starters at Decathlon. she said:

“Work Match services has been fantastic. They helped me to prepare for my interview with Decathlon and were even present on the recruitment assessment day to provide some moral support. With their help I was successful and now I am extremely enjoying my job.”

Alan, Department Manager at Decathlon said:

“Being a new store in Wandsworth’s it’s not easy to recruit staff. Work Match found us 14 strong and job ready candidates within one week of our meeting and even provided us with the premises to host a recruitment selection day. We hired three Sports Advisers and a Department Manager and all of them are performing extremely well.”
