Roehampton gears up for cycling fun day

A free cycling fun day comes to Roehampton on May 10 complete with static bike races, guided rides around Richmond Park and a pedal powered smoothie maker.

It takes place from 10am to 4pm, Saturday 10 May at Alton Primary School, Danebury Ave, SW15 4PD.

There will also be cycling training for all ages and abilities, Dr Bike safety checks and the chance to climb aboard an HGV to see a lorry driver’s view of the road.

Visitors will receive a goodie bag (while stocks last) and there will be a raffle with a first prize of £100 in cycle shop vouchers.

The council is also holding another series of free bicycle maintenance classes for beginners throughout May to help more local people get into cycling.
