Election candidate list published

Published: Friday 25th April 14

Nominations have now closed for the European Parliamentary and Wandsworth Council elections taking place on Thursday May 22.

Residents will go to the polls to elect eight Members of the European Parliament to represent London and three councillors for each of the 20 wards within the borough.

Poll cards were delivered to registered residents over the Easter weekend.  Anyone who did not receive a poll card should contact electoral services.

There is still time to register to vote, but you must submit a form by midnight on May 6.  People born in this country, along with citizens of qualifying Commonwealth countries, plus those from the European Union and British overseas territories are all eligible to vote in local elections.

European Union citizens (other than those from the UK, Ireland, Malta or Cyprus) who want to vote in the European Parliamentary elections in London must fill in a special form. This has been sent to all applicable residents and is also available on the council website.  The deadline for this form to be submitted to electoral services is midnight on May 6.

If you want to request a postal vote, you must send in a completed application form by 5pm on May 7.
