Free beginners bicycle maintenance classes

Published: Wednesday 23rd April 14

The council is holding another series of free bicycle maintenance classes for beginners to help more local people get into cycling.

The sessions will take place in Balham town centre from 6.45pm to 8.45pm on the following dates:

  • Thursday 1 May
  • Thursday 8 May
  • Thursday 15 May
  • Thursday 22 May
  • Thursday 29 May
  • Thursday 5 June
  • Thursday 12 June
  • Thursday 19 June

Due to high demand, classes are only open to Wandsworth residents aged 16 or over. To book your place call 020 8871 8602.

They offer an introduction for absolute beginners who have no experience in maintaining a bike. Participants will learn how to keep their bikes in good working order between professional services.

Wandsworth residents who would like to take advantage would need to bring their own bicycle and a pen and paper to take notes.
