A unique Christmas celebration takes place on Battersea High Street next week with local businesses and independent artists teaming up to provide an array of festive fun.

The 'Christmas Crawl' on Saturday 1 December invites shoppers to work their way through a street filled with fairground rides, live music, candy floss machines and arts and crafts stalls.

Shops will have special Christmas promotions while pubs and caf├ęs will offer festive menus including roast chestnuts, a hog roast, braised venison, and mulled wine.

The event is a collaboration between the high street's traders and local artists from the Parkham Street Studios.

Businesses taking part include The Woodman, Costa's Barbers Casual Wear, The Candlemaker, The Castle Pub and Galapagos.
