Olympic medallist Mark Richardson will be launching this year’s Get Active Day on July 14.
The day is completely free and is the showcase event of the Get Active Wandsworth Festival, taking place all summer across the borough.
Mark (pictured), who picked up a silver medal with the Team GB 4x400m team at the Atlanta Games, will be talking to local people about how they can get active and leave a lasting legacy of the 2012 London Games.
"Events like this prove that a sustainable legacy to the London 2012 Games can be achieved and I urge everyone to get involved. The activities and events planned for the day sound really exciting and will create a real buzz in Wandsworth".
Highlights of the day will include a Radio Jackie roadshow, mobile climbing wall, bouncy castle, face painting, children's entertainer, family fun run, mobile boxing ring and activities for people with disabilities.
Sports represented will include cricket, hockey, korfball, a cycling assault course, archery, fencing, football, touch rugby, judo, netball, volleyball and tennis. People of all ages, abilities and fitness levels will be able to take part.
