Christmas comes to Wandsworth Town

The Wandsworth Town Christmas Celebration and lights ceremony will be this Saturday (December 3) from 2pm to 5.30pm at Southside Shopping Centre and All Saints Church

There's lots of activities planned for the whole afternoon in and around Southside including: 

  • Walking, talking Christmas tree along Central Mall
  • Performance of the Christmas story with a live donkey in front of Waitrose
  • Christmas card making workshop on first floor by Waterstones
  • Story telling by Wandsworth Town library children's librarian, also on the first floor.

There will be a lantern procession from West Hill School and the Mayor of Wandsworth, Cllr Jane Cooper, will switch the lights on at 4.15pm by All Saints Church, Wandsworth High Street

Everyone is invited to a carol service at All Saints Church from 4.30 pm, with mulled wine and mince pies afterwards.

The event is sponsored by Southside, Wandsworth Partnership & Wandsworth Cultural Wealth Fund and organised by the Wandsworth Town Centre Manager and Wandsworth Arts Team.
