Your views sought on childcare

The council wants to know what parents think about childcare provision in the borough.

The Children's Services department is currently consulting on its Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA). This is an assessment of the extent, type and affordability of available childcare provision and maps the current supply against demand.

This helps the council:

  • Find out if we have the correct type and amount of childcare
  • Understand what the barriers are to accessing childcare and identify gaps in the current provision
  • Produce a forward action plan

The complete CSA is available on request. Email: or call on 8871 6349
