Battersea councillors’ surgery moves
Published: Monday 31st January 11
Residents who wish to speak to a local councillor at one of their regular Saturday morning surgeries in Battersea will need to attend a different venue for the next three months.
The regular surgeries held at Battersea Library in Lavender Hill will be held instead at Northcote Library in Northcote Road from Saturday, February 5 to Saturday, April 30.
The surgeries will be held at the same time as usual - between 10am and 11am. This temporary change is to allow essential maintenance and repair works to be carried out at Battersea Library during that period.
Surgeries are also held at the same time every Saturday morning at Putney and Tooting Libraries. The surgeries give residents the chance to speak to their elected representatives and raise any issues of local concern with them. There is no need to make an appointment in advance.
Additional surgeries also take place in the Furzedown area of Tooting and also in Roehampton.
In Furzedown, surgeries are held on the first Saturday of every month between 11.30am and 12.30pm at the Furzedown Project, 93 Moyser Road.
Another surgery in the Furzedown area is held on the third Saturday in each month between 11.30am and 12.30pm at St Alban's Church Hall, Pretoria Road.
In Roehampton, surgeries are held at Roehampton Library in Danebury Avenue on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month between 11am and 12pm
If residents cannot attend a surgery or would prefer to discuss something in private, they can get in touch with councillors by email or telephone.
