This is a fantastic opportunity for singers, poets, dancers, musicians, comedians and any other stage performers to showcase their skills.

Participants must be between 14 and 19 years old and either live or go to a school or youth club in Wandsworth.

Entrants can gain value audition experience and those who make it through will benefit from skills development workshops run by industry insiders. The top talent could end up performing for an audience of more than 300 at the Young Performer final on November 28.

The eventual winner will also receive a tailored package of performance opportunities at venues across the borough.

This year local young people will have the opportunity to plan, promote and deliver the grand final event. Bigga Fish, an innovative youth culture organisation, is now looking for a team of young 20 Wandsworth teenagers to take on the task.

Those who take part will be paid for their efforts and will gain valuable work experience in entertainment marketing and event management.

As well as shaping their own event, the team will be challenged to reach out to new audiences and to attract a new breed of talented artists to the competition.

First round auditions take place:

  • Saturday 9 October
Wandsworth Youth Service, Tooting Hub, Beechcroft Road, SW17 7BU
  • Saturday 16 October
The Halfmoon Putney, 93 Lower Richmond Road, SW15 1EU
  • Saturday 23 October
