MyWandsworth

Poster competition

We are calling on all young, budding artists in Wandsworth to enter a borough-wide poster competition, as part of our new #MyWandsworth campaign.

All primary-aged school children are invited to design a poster encouraging local people to take pride in our borough and celebrate what’s great about the area; highlighting that any littering, even if it’s dropping a sweet wrapper, is unacceptable.

The competition is open to three age categories, and only pupils attending a primary school in Wandsworth are eligible to enter:
  • Category one: 4 to 6 years old
  • Category two: 7 to 9 years old
  • Category three: 10 to 11 years old

Prizes kindly donated by

Continental landscapes

• First prize: £20 book voucher (in each age category)
• Second and third prizes: £10 book voucher (in each age category)

• Winning school: £200 for the winning pupil’s school (in each age category)

Primary-aged school children are invited to design a poster to show their favourite part of the borough - this could be a park, their favourite street or the place they most like - as long as it’s in Wandsworth and is somewhere they are really proud of.

It should be somewhere outdoors, that shows the borough at its best and sends a clear message that any littering, even if it’s just a sweet wrapper, is unacceptable, we want to keep our borough at its best!

School children can enter the competition by downloading the entry form and submitting:

At school

  • Return a paper copy via their school - if they are accepting them - making sure the terms and conditions have been signed by a parent or guardian

Online

  • Scan or take a photo of the entry and upload online

Uploaded entries should be the highest resolution picture on a smart phone (or at least 300 DPI). Parents and guardians are asked to keep hold of the original entry.
