Let's Talk
"I believe Wandsworth can best serve its residents by listening to what they have to say.
"That's why I've started a new series of events called Let's Talk.
"I have visited various venues around the borough to hear what local people think about council services, including street cleaning, parking, schools and housing, and what else the council should be doing to meet local needs.
"The events are part of the Wandsworth Challenge - a new approach to providing better public services at a time of tough financial pressures. Key to the Challenge is more involvement from the community and better engagement with local people.
"The most recent round of meetings and online chats during September and October is now over, but I will let you know when more have been arranged. There will be an online meeting on community website Streetlife on December 1, and some more meetings are currently being organised for January.
In the meantime, you can see what sort of issues were raised on the feedback page."
Councillor Ravi Govindia, leader of Wandsworth Council.
