Core strategy
Core strategy further consultation 25 September - 6 November 2009
Following submission of the Core Strategy to the Secretary of State on 20 March 2009, the Planning Inspector conducting the Examination of the Core Strategy set out some matters of concern, which are detailed on the Supporting documents - Exploratory meeting correspondence (CD9) page. The Council has now responded to these concerns by providing additional information including an Affordable Housing Economic Viability Assessment (CD8/047) and a Stage One urban Design Statement - Tall Buildings Assessment (CD8/047) and a Stage One Urban design Statement - Tall Buildings (CD8/051) and has proposed a number of changes to the Core Strategy, including changes to the policies on affordable housing provision and tall buildings.
Consultation
The Council has now consulted on these changes with the consultation closing on 6 November 2009. Any representations (comments) on the soundness of the changes will be considered by the Inspector undertaking the Examination of the Core Strategy. Information on the meaning of soundness can be found in the notes which accompany the Representation form.
Further comments on policies, or parts of policies, which have not been changed as part of this process will not be taken into consideration.
