Core strategy
The Core Strategy sets out the Council's spatial vision, strategic objectives and spatial strategy on how the borough should develop over the next fifteen years along with core policies and information on monitoring and implementation.
The Core Strategy was submitted to the Secretary of State on 20 March 2009. The plan was examined by an independent Planning Inspector during public hearing sessions in February 2010 and found to be sound. The Core Strategy was adopted by the council on October 20, 2010.
The Council is intending to undertake a review in 2012, including updating housing targets following publication of the London Plan.
