Local Plan review

The Council has three recently adopted Local Plan (formerly Local Development Framework) Development Plan Documents (DPDs):

• Core Strategy - October 2010
• Development Management Policies Document - February 2012
• Site Specific Allocations Document - February 2012

Following publication of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) 2012 and the London Plan 2011, the Council is undertaking a review of its DPDs, to make adjustments to ensure conformity with new national and regional policy and further amendments to address issues which have been identified.

We consulted on the proposed areas for review in July/August 2012 and the responses, together with the main focus of review for each DPD, were reported to Committee in November 2012.  Consultation on the Proposed Submission Local Plan documents is taking place between 17 May 2013 and 28 June 2013.  Please see the Statement of Representations Procedure for further information.  

The programme going forward is expected to be:

• Publication version public consultation (17 May - 28 June 2013)
• Submission version committee report (November 2013)
• Submission to the Secretary of State for Examination (December 2013)
