Bird recording in the borough
Wandsworth has some very dedicated and passionate people who spend their time gathering information about the wildlife in our parks, commons and open spaces.
Peter White has been walking Wandsworth Common since around 1990, recording the birds he sees and hears on an almost daily basis. In 2003 he started doing the same on Tooting Common.
Peter writes up a monthly summary of these bird records for each common, including detailed information on the key species of the month and gives hints (based on his experience) of which birds you will see in the months to come.
