Local Area Agreement
The Local Area Agreement (LAA) is a three year agreement negotiated between central government and the local area, as represented by the council and its partners on the Wandsworth Local Strategic Partnership.
It contains 23 priorities for improving performance in areas like recycling, levels of teenage pregnancy and unemployment. These priorities reflect the views of residents, partners and follow on from a careful analysis of local needs and service performance.
These priorities are translated into a set of detailed improvement targets which are being monitored carefully during the LAA period 2007-2010. All these targets support the priorities in the Sustainable Communities Strategy, "Our Wandsworth 2018".
Detailed monitoring reports are discussed by the WLSP in June and October each year, and the full LAA 2007-2010 document is available from the related downloads area.
