The Open Award Centre for the Duke of Edinburgh Award
The Award offers a progressive programme of leisure time activities for young people aged 14 to 25 years, which provide a personal and individual challenge. Schools, youth clubs, colleges and voluntary organisations run Award groups throughout the borough.
The Centre provides support to new and existing groups, offers a variety of courses for young people and leaders, including expedition training, and has gained an Adventure Activity Licence to organise walking and camping trips in mountainous areas.
