* These additional charges apply to standard bulky waste collections but not to the Re-use collection service. They are waived for pensioners and disabled residents who do not live with someone able to carry the bulky items outside.
DIY waste collection example
A resident wants six bulky items plus three sacks of DIY waste collected:
- The first four bulky DIY items are covered by the minimum charge: £64
- Two further bulky DIY items: 2 x £13.30 = £26.60
- Three sacks of DIY waste: £13.50
Total charge = £104.10
