Bulky and DIY waste collections
We have different collection charges for DIY waste and other bulky waste.
- Bulky waste collections are for all items of household waste, excluding DIY waste, that won't fit into a container measuring 1m high by 750mm diameter (roughly the size of a standard paladin bin) or anything weighing over 25kg.
- DIY waste includes anything that once formed part of the fabric, fixtures or fittings of your home but excludes the loose contents of your house. For example a fitted bath or cupboard is DIY waste but a free-standing bath or cupboard is bulky waste.

We recycle where possible
Fridges and freezers that are collected will have any harmful gases (CFCs) removed and are recycled along with other metal goods.
