Pay and display parking - shared use bays

Photo of parking permit sign (3 hours)In most CPZs within Wandsworth that operate all day (e.g. from 9.30am to 4.30pm), on-street pay and display parking is provided in shared use bays. Shared use bays are available to pay and display visitors and permit holders. The maximum stay allowed for pay and display generally varies between two and four hours, depending on where the bays are, but in some areas there are longer maximum stay bays available. Generally, shared use parking bays near town centres allow a shorter maximum stay than those further out. Signs displayed next to the bays (like the one on the right) clearly indicate the maximum parking time allowed. The machines accept 5p,10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins, with a minimum charge of 10p, which will purchase a very short period of time. The machines do not give change.

Alternatively, motorists may pay-by-phone avoiding the need to carry the right coins or to estimate how long they may need to park. Find out more about Parkmobile, a specialist pay-by-phone provider here:  Parkmobile.
