Vehicle removals
Introduction
If you return to where you parked your car and find it is not there, it may have been removed if it was illegally parked, particularly if it was causing an obstruction. Under these circumstances your vehicle may have been removed by our enforcement contractor, either to a nearby street, or to the pound.
It is a legal requirement that a Penalty Charge Notice must be issued to a vehicle before it is removed to the car pound or relocated to another parking space in the street.
Please call the TRACE service on 0845 206 8602 and they will be able to tell you if your vehicle has been removed and where it has been taken.
However, to avoid the inconvenience and cost to yourself and other road users, please take a few moments to ensure you are parked legally before locking and leaving your vehicle.
