Pest control
Terms and conditions
Paying for treatment
We charge for all types of treatment, including communal areas of residential properties such as staircases, lifts, bin areas, communal gardens etc.
When to pay
Treatments offered at set prices in residential properties must be completed within 4 months or further payment will be needed.
For treatments at private residential dwellings, you must pay the charge before we book your treatment visit.
How to pay
You can pay by credit or debit card at the time of booking.
If this is not possible then you can pay by cash or cheque at the One Stop Counter at the Customer Services Centre, Ground Floor of the Town Hall Extension.
Price reduction
There is a 50% reduction if the occupier is responsible for paying and is a council-tax payer in receipt of means tested benefit. This reduction is only available for rats, mice, cockroaches, bedbugs and tropical ants.
We will need to see proof of the benefit before the reduction is allowed and the reduced amount must be paid before we book your treatment visit.
Organisations and businesses
Organisations and businesses can pay by invoice for treatments at private residential dwellings but an additional charge will be made of £10 per invoice.
Commercial contracts will be invoiced.
Great services and free advice
Free advice is offered for problems with other pests such as pigeons and foxes but we do not offer treatments for these birds and mammals.
We also offer a free insect identification service, using outside experts as necessary. Please take samples in a sealed container to the Customer Services Centre.
We only provide treatments to control squirrels in loft areas. We will give advice on proofing but we cannot undertake any proofing work.
Wasp nests
Our service to treat wasp nests does not include removal of the nest.
If the nest is at low level or is safely accessible from a boarded attic, we offer a fixed price.
If there is more than one nest, or the nest is at a high level or difficult to treat, a survey may be required and a quote for the work will be given. Contact us for more information and/or to book your treatment visit.
Dead animal collection
We do not provide a service to collect dead animals from private property.
You will need to dispose of it yourself. As a Wandsworth resident you can do this free of charge by taking the dead animal to your local household waste and recycling centre (public tip).
Contact the Western Riverside Waste Authority on 020 8871 2278 for more advice on how to do this.
Dead animals on the public highway should be reported to the Council waste services team wasteservices@wandsworth.gov.uk or call 020 8871 8558.
