Elections - electoral register

Electoral Services aims to give every resident of the borough an opportunity to have their say at local, national, European elections and Referenda, if they are eligible.

Every British, Commonwealth and Republic of Ireland citizen living in Britain is eligible to vote in this country's elections. All other European Union citizens are eligible to vote in European Parliamentary elections and local elections held here.

We are responsible for compiling the register of electors each year and providing advice to all residents about their rights to vote. We also play a significant role in the management of elections.
