Schools Recruitment Service

As of January 2010, Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) will be able to register their detail with the Schools Recruitment Service, which is a new online system designed to streamline the recruitment process. Applicants will be able to apply for jobs, receive vacancy alerts and can also opt to be part of a database, which will enable schools to search through their details to find suitable candidates.

Although we do not have a closing date for registration, we suggest you register your details before Easter as this is when Headteachers will begin showing an interest in who is available.

NQT Applications

All of our NQT vacancies are advertised on the teacher recruitment Job Vacancies page on the Wandsworth Council website. Schools may also advertise vacancies on the TES website or on their own websites.

For a list of primary and secondary schools in Wandsworth, together with their contact details please refer to the Schools Directories section.

Upon finding a suitable advertised vacancy please complete the application form for each vacancy and return it to the school you are applying to.

Please ensure that your form is completed fully. Your personal statement should address the criteria that are outlined on the person specification. Refer to the guidance notes before submitting your form.
