Belleville, Hillbrook and Sacred Hearts Primary School expansions consultation
Wandsworth, like many other London boroughs, is experiencing an exceptionally high demand for reception places in many of its primary schools. School roll projections suggest that the current situation is not a temporary increase but part of a continuing upward trend.
In order to meet demand, the Council created temporary additional places at a number of popular and oversubscribed schools for September 2009.
The main reason for the increase in demand is the rising birth rate in much of the London area. The Council's pupil place projections show that the demand for extra places will continue to rise over the next few years. The Council is therefore proposing to expand:
- Belleville Primary School
- Hillbrook Primary School
- Sacred Heart (Roehampton) Primary School
