Registering the birth and death of a newly born baby
Introduction
We understand that the death of a child is very sad and can be distressing for everyone involved in dealing with the death. Our aim is to make the registration process as simple as possible and we will deal with you sympathetically and patiently.
You may make an appointment by phoning us on 020 8871 6120. We will arrange a date and time that is convenient for you to attend the Register Office and we will arrange Car Parking if needed. Our Walk In service is available between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday however if you are able to contact us beforehand we will make arrangements for you to be seen as quickly as possible after your arrival.
If attending the Register Office is not possible then arrangements can be made to register the Birth and Death at St Georges Hospital through the hospital staff.
