Determined school admission arrangements 2018-19
If a school is oversubscribed, places are allocated in accordance with the school's published admission criteria (also known as admission policies or admission arrangements.)
The admission authority for a school or academy must set admission arrangements annually.
- For community schools the admission authority is the local council.
- For voluntary aided schools, academies, and free schools it is the school's governing body or academy trust.
Please note the admission arrangements for Holy Ghost Primary School, St Anselm's Catholic Primary School and St Boniface Primary School have been amended following review by the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA). The final versions are available here and on the school websites. The Schools Adjudicator's reports are available on the GOV.UK website.
Paper copies can also be obtained direct from schools (for Academies, foundation schools and voluntary aided schools) or from the council's Admissions Team for community schools.
Any person or body who considers that any maintained school or Academy's arrangements are unlawful, or not in compliance with the Code or relevant law relating to admissions, can make an objection to the Schools Adjudicator. Objections must be referred to Schools Adjudicator by 15 May 2017.
