About PCNs
The parking tickets we issue are called Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs).
PCNs require payment of a fine but do not result in a criminal record or points on a driving licence. Usually, in Wandsworth PCNs will be issued on all roads except red routes.
PCNs are issued when a driver parks a vehicle in contravention of the regulations. In addition the vehicle may also be removed to the car pound.

We process PCNs according to the regulations, which specify the steps we must take in order to recover payment of the ticket. There is also provision for drivers to have a formal appeal against a parking ticket heard by an independent Parking Adjudicator.
We monitor and enforce parking and traffic in two different ways, both via the issuing of PCNs:
- Via patrolling Civil Enforcement Officers (CEOs), who issue a PCN by affixing the notice to the car or handing it to the driver, at the time of the alleged contravention
- Via CCTV cameras, reviewed by a CCTV Enforcement Operator, which records the alleged contravention. In these instances the PCN will be posted to the registered keeper of the vehicle, having obtained their details via the DVLA
The CCTV enforcement locations list advises of all locations across the borough of Wandsworth where static CCTV enforcement cameras reside. This list is correct from 22 April 2021.
