Resident visitor permits
Free one hour permits
Resident permit holders can apply for 10 free one hour resident visitor permits in a rolling 12 month period, for use in Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) with one hour of control.
The free visitor permits are limited to 10 within a rolling 12 month period as our policy is to discourage unnecessary car journeys.
They are not valid in any of the CPZs that have all day operational hours (for example 9.30am to 4.30pm).
The free visitor permits are validated in the same way as other visitor permits; however, you will also be required to write in the zone (displayed on the bay signs) in which you are parked, in the space provided on the permit.
Where you can park
The free one-hour permits can be used in any one-hour CPZs.

The one-hour visitor permits will not be useful for everyone. For this reason, they are not sent to all resident permit holders but are available on request.
The 10 free one-hour resident visitor permits are not available from libraries.
