Resident visitor permits

Who can buy resident visitor parking permits?

You are entitled to buy resident visitor parking permits if:

  • your principal place of residence is within a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) and is not part of an excluded or permit-free development

You do not have to drive or own a vehicle yourself to obtain resident visitor permits.

Proof of residence

In order to purchase the permits, you must provide proof of residence unless you already hold a valid resident permit.

How many can I buy?

Your household can buy up to 100 days worth of visitor permits in any 12 month period. A maximum of 20 daily or four weekly (5 or 6 day) visitor permits will be issued on any one occasion.

Residents aged 70 or over and blue badge holders

Residents aged 70 or over (or those aged between 65 and 70 who received the discount between 1 January 2007 and 30 September 2012) and disabled blue badge holders can buy 200 days worth of visitor permits in any 12 month period. A maximum of 40 daily or four weekly (5 or 6 day) visitor permits will be issued on any one occasion.
