How much will you have to pay for care and support services at home?
How it is decided if you have to pay
It depends on how much money you have. Some people will have to pay the full cost of their care and support services, some will have to make a contribution towards the cost, and others will not have to pay anything. Everyone is asked to complete a financial assessment so we can work out how much they can afford to contribute towards the cost of their care and support services.
Whether you organise services yourself using a direct payment or the council organises the services for you, the amount you will contribute towards the cost of services in your support plan is based on your financial assessment.
