Information for providers of supported housing services

In June 2011, as part of a wider reorganisation within the Department of Adult Social Services (DASS), the existing Supporting People Team and Purchasing Support Team were disbanded and the appropriate functions were brought together with the Procurement function to form a Procurement, Contract Management & Brokerage (PCMB) Team.

Up until 31 March 2012 Supporting People funded services will continue to be monitored and reviewed using the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework as well as the submission of annual contract monitoring returns. Service reviews include a visit to supported housing services to talk to both service users and to staff.

From 1 April 2012 these services will be monitored in accordance with the PCMB new Contract Monitoring Protocol against which most Adult Social Services contracts will be monitored. All Providers will receive information about these new procedures early 2012.

Services will continue to be required by the PCMB team to submit quarterly key performance information regarding service availability, utilisation, staffing levels and information about throughput of service users.
