Methods of payment


Pay securely online using a debit or credit card. We accept:

Delta, Solo, Switch, Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron and Japan Credit Bureau Card.

  • Debit cards: no charge
  • Credit cards: surcharge of 1.4%

There is a small charge payable for credit card payments.

Direct debit

Pay service charges and personal budget charges by direct debit.

Direct debit mandate forms:


Make cheques payable to Wandsworth Council. Quote your:

  • account reference and invoice number
  • name and address
  • property you are writing about if different to your address

Spreading the costs of major works

In some circumstances you can spread the cost of major works over a number of years, subject to certain conditions, with a Major Works Loan.

Pay in instalments

Pay in instalments over a period of up to 10 months from the date of the bill. You need your

  • 8 digit account number
  • invoice number

This can be found on your invoice.

Delays in payment

Your payment instalments can increase if you delay in paying.

The number of instalments might be reduced, which increases the amount you pay each month.

You cannot pay in instalments if:

  • You already have an alternative arrangement in place, or we advised you otherwise.
  • You are an absent landlord who receive a service charge or major works bill. This must be paid in full, within 14 days of the demand for payment.
