Salaries and pay policies

This dataset has been updated and expanded to include details of all Council officers with salaries at or above £50,000, an organisation structure chart and the Council's pay multiple. This meets the legal requirements within the Department of Communities and Local Government's (DCLG) Local Government Transparency Code 2015.

Senior Pay Policy Statement

The Pay Policy Statement for the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth for the financial year 2019/20, approved by the two Councils on 5 and 6 March 2019 respectively, is set out in the Supplemental Agenda considered by Wandsworth Council on 6 March 2019.

Pay multiple

The agreed Pay Policy Statement details the Council's current pay multiple which is a requirement under the Local Government Transparency Code 2015. As at January 2023 the pay multiple between the highest paid salary, attributed to the Chief Executive, and the median salary is 6.98.

Gender pay gap

The Gender Pay Gap Statement for Richmond and Wandsworth Councils, in line with The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties and Public Authorities) Regulations 2017.

Gender Pay Gap reports are presented annually to the Joint Staffing Committee and are also set out in the Supplemental Agenda referred to above.
