To operate a public weighbridge, you need a certificate of competence which can be issued by us.
Eligibility criteria
You must have sufficient knowledge for the proper performance of your duties.
Application evaluation process
We will visit you and observe you using your firm's weighbridge.
To get a certificate, you will need to complete a fairly simple test, covering the:
- Use of the equipment
- Issuing of tickets
- keeping of records.
You also need to answer a few questions to demonstrate your understanding of the legal obligations imposed on an operator of a public weighbridge.
