Thinking of recruiting this summer?

The University of Essex is participating in the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme, which offers a contributory grant of over £1,500 to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to recruit a graduate intern from the university.

An intern could help deliver a project, provide extra help and support to your permanent staff or fill an entry level vacancy. Essex Interns is a free service and will work with you to find an intern who matches the needs of your business and is eager to begin their new career.

An internship is a great way to recruit, so if the match is right, you could even employ the intern on a permanent basis after their internship is completed.

Now is a great time to take part. This summer, there will be a fresh set of 2019 graduates, making it the ideal time to advertise an internship vacancy through the scheme. Internships will need to be on a full-time basis (at least 35 hours per week) for a minimum of 10 weeks.

If you believe your business could benefit from the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme, contact internships@essex.ac.uk or visit the University of Essex website.
