Skip, highways licences and parking bay suspension charges
What to do if you need to cancel or alter a highways licence
When to give us notice
Requests for alterations or cancellations must be received by 3pm on the day of submission, a minimum of two clear working days before the start date of the licence or parking bay suspension for this to be considered. For example, if the licence is due to start on a Friday a request to cancel or alter must be received before 3pm on the Tuesday before.
This notice period does not include weekends or bank holidays.
You should note that if the correct notice period is not given your request we are unable to consider cancellation or alteration.
A request to cancel or alter a licence or parking bay suspension will incur an administration charge of £17.50.
For a parking bay suspension there is an additional charge of £9.80 per sign, for any signage that needs to be erected/amended.
We will arrange for our contractor to remove/amend the signage as soon as possible.
Payment of the administrative charges must be made at the time the request to cancel or alter is submitted. A decision to cancel or make an alteration cannot be granted until the payment is made.
These charges will apply from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2018.
