Life stages: Pre and post retirement
Introduction
This focuses on the life stage of people that fall before and after retirement (aged approximately from 50 to 75 years). It is typified by people and families with children reaching adulthood and leaving home.
Most of this population group will be planning for retirement and some will be looking to move away from Wandsworth.
With increasing age comes a higher likelihood of a long term condition (such as diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, stroke and mental health) being diagnosed and therefore early detection and treatment services are more in demand.
Reduced mobility and vision can be detrimental to health and healthy active lifestyles need to be prioritised.
