Sunday 4 August 2013 - The Mayor has announced an annual cycle event in London over the weekend of Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August.

Putney

These are said to be based on the Olympic Cycle Road Race route, so are likely to incorporate Putney. There will be lots to do in Putney that day, not only to see the racers live and on live TV but also to entertain you between their departure and later return.

The 20,000 cyclists involved in the charity event leave London between 6am and 8am, with the later 'Classic' group of 150 top cyclists starting at 12.30pm.

RideLondon Classic

The RideLondon Classic will start at the new Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park at 12.30pm and finish in iconic central London. The race will pass through nine London boroughs and the county of Surrey.
